Global Accessibility Awareness Day


You are invited to register for Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) on May 15, 2025.

GAAD 2025 will include:

  • Keynote presentation from Dr. Ludmila Praslova, author of The Canary Code.
  • Breakout sessions in the areas of advancing accessibility in higher education, disability culture & justice, and universal design.

Registration is required. Use your UMN email account when you register to ensure the sessions you select get added to your Google calendar. If you don’t have a Google account, you can create one with an existing email account. All times on the registration form are in Central Daylight Time.

Accommodations

ASL and captioning will be provided for the keynote and all sessions. Slides and handouts will be available a few days prior on the GAAD event website.
