Accessibility Ambassadors: Digital Accessibility: Files, Slides, and Documents

We are fast approaching the deadline to meet the new federal standards for digital accessibility. Wondering how to ensure your documents, slide presentations, and teaching materials are ready? In this session, we’ll share:

  • How to create digitally accessible content from the start, such as a course syllabus, handouts, presentation slides, and PDFs
  • How to evaluate the accessibility of your existing files and documents
  • Tips for how to update existing files and documents to make them more accessible

Lyn DeLorme has worked in the field of instructional design and professional development for over 25 years. She is an advocate for digital accessibility practices as essential elements of good document and media design.

Xiong Xy has been working in the field of academic technology and media development for over 15 years. He was engaged in digital accessibility work long before the revised rule was announced. Talk to Xiong about anything related to digital accessibility and inclusion, media development, and Catan!
