Accessibility Ambassadors: Tackling Accessibility in the Google Workspace with Grackle

Does the thought of making accessible Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets feel overwhelming? Do you open the checker and wonder where to even start? Join us on December 11 for this friendly 45-minute session, where we’ll demystify Grackle, the powerful accessibility checker extension for Google Workspace. We'll show you how this tool can help you in your accessibility journey.

In this presentation, we will:

  • Showcase real "before and after" examples to demonstrate Grackle's impact
  • Break down the most common accessibility issues in each document type (Docs, Slides, and Sheets)
  • Walk through the Grackle interface step-by-step, so you know exactly how to find and fix errors
  • Save time for your questions at the end

You'll leave this session feeling more confident in your ability to use Grackle and make your digital content accessible to everyone.

This session is presented by the Office for Digital Accessibility (ODA) staff. Luke Kudryashov is the senior digital accessibility analyst and deputy ADA coordinator at the ODA. DM Lavoie is an academic technologist in Academic Technology Support Services (ATSS) and the ODA. Khaled Musa is the director of the ODA.
